About the Developer:

Cinderella Winter is an artist and teacher. For more than ten years she has worked with mainstream youth as well as students as diverse as wide-eyed kindergarteners, youth in drug treatment and illiterate adults on parole. She has seen nothing more pivotal to their performance than their sense of self. And it is here that she meets her students. Facilitating a process of self-exploration and empowerment, students can begin to access and recognize what resonates as true for them, learning to express from their centers with authentic ‘voices.’
Cinderella has taught students art individually, in art camps and through a program she developed, ”Drawing From Imagination,” in school. She has organized two community muralling projects. She’s established her own business, “IF~ Intuitive Function,” making and selling utilitarian art objects. In 2002, she co-facilitated “The Global Art Project,” locally coordinating a public painting collaboration, an artworks showing and international exchange. Most recently, Cinderella was asked to develop and facilitate a series of workshops focusing on creative exploration, expression and empowerment with at-risk youth in the Kamloops Pathfinders Alternate Education program.
Cinderella earned her B.A. at Simon Fraser University and B. Ed with Distinction at the University of Saskatchewan. She is an advanced student of the Hakomi Method: Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
