"...the content and process is fantastic and important for our youth."
L.C., Teacher, BC Alternate Education Conference, Vancouver, BC
"I want to be taught the way Cea teaches us, she makes us feel intelligent..."
Alternate student, M.J., from a visioning session on what students wanted in their new school, KCLC, Kamloops, BC
"This is a program that engages the learner through the personality of the author and challenges the learner by requiring reflection and creativity."
Mary Stobbe, Vice Principal, Abbotsford Virtual School
"We are very impressed with the thoughtful & engaging content... & very excited to be adding it to our course lineup this fall. Cea has done a great job; she really knows how to reach her students, even at a distance."
Karen Flello, Vice Principal, SIDES- South Island Distance Education School, Victoria, BC
"Due to their breadth and spirit of meaningful information, evocative imagery and helpful videos (which meet the full range of diverse learning styles), as well as the strong emphasis on the discovery of self, including the role of citizenry to benefit a student's environment and world, the Art Explosion courses will definitely enhance our students' understanding of the visual world, promote authentic artistic creativity, as well as support the exploration of critical imaginative thinking."
Department of Art & Design Studies, ADLC- Alberta Distance Learning Center, Edmonton, AB
"A very refreshing approach to instruction... Cea's courses are engaging and well-organized, with high-interest activities and assessments that are useful to both students and instructors."

Preparing students for today's work world and overall success in life:
The top skills desired by Fortune 500 companies are: teamwork, problem-solving ability, interpersonal skills, communication, listening, personal development/ career development, creative thinking. Gossen, 2005
"Emotional intelligence has become widely recognized as an important predictor of a child's success later in life. The more in touch with emotions and the better able a child is to understand and get along with others, the sunnier that child's future, whatever his or her academic IQ." John M. Gottman, Ph.D.
"Studies reviewed for the Critical Links Compendium revealed a positive link between experience in the arts and improved academic achievement. General cognitive and social capacities such as creative thinking, decision-making, perceptiveness, motivation, and verbal skills were also linked with arts participation." Horowitz & Webb-Dempsey, 2002
"There is evidence of a positive correlation between arts study and enhanced academic achievement. Students who took art classes in high school had higher SAT scores (math & verbal) in the US." Winner & Cooper, 2000
"It used to be that "left-brain" abilities (logical, linear, sequential, and analytical thinking) were the most important aspects of education...(now) "right-brained" abilities: processing things all at once rather than in sequence, processing context rather than text, and synthesis rather than analysis are vitally important. Thus, art education is critical to developing the entire brain and the whole child." Ron Rodriquez, Principal
